Hey folks, I’m Gervin Guevarra 👋
I’m a software engineer professional bug maker, a recovering caffeine-addict, and meme dealer. Despite my blog’s tagline, I do get some sleep. Just… not always when I should.
Welcome to a piece of my mind. This is a place where I’ll dump my thoughts, lessons, and rants that come with working in tech. Occassionally, I’ll write stuff about life because, after all, developers are people too.

Most of my day job revolves around backend (C#/.NET), but I also poke around frontend (React) and infra (AWS) when I need to. These days I’m also writing a fair bit of Python to build AI agents and MCP servers. I’m also the kind of person who actually likes writing documentation. Don’t judge.

On AI Use, Honestly
If you’ve gone poking around this blog’s repo, you might’ve spotted a
CLAUDE.md.
Oh no! How dare I use AI and pretend it’s my work.The words here, however, are mine: the thoughts, the opinions, and the questionable jokes included. Heck, even the em dash that I loved long before AI decided to claim it for itself.
AI only plays editor — proofreading, flagging clunky sentences, and saving me from the occasional rogue “their/there”, the way a columnist still has someone catching their typos.If anything here is ever meaningfully AI-generated, I’ll say so up front.
